In February of 2005 a group of grobanites, organized by Deb (thewebmother on the JG.com message board) from Michigan, banned together for an amazing campaign. With winter fast on the way in Africa , the goal was to provide the Zamimpilo orphanage with 100 blankets to warm the kids. We focused on providing handcrafted blankets created by Grobanites, especially for the kids, although purchased blankets were also welcome and very much appreciated.

The deadline was to be in April, but within a week this project's goal was fulfilled! This just proves what many have already come to know, the generosity of grobanites knows no bounds! Andrea in Africa has agreed to help us by personally distributing our blankets to the Zamimpilo kids, and any remaining blankets to other neighboring orphanages.
