The Spring Auction for The Josh Groban Foundation raised $33,461 for The Josh Groban Foundation. This total includes $3436 designated for GFA/Africa projects, and $715 specifically for Siyawela. As always, thanks to all the volunteers, one hundred percent of the proceeds go to JGF (beyond the on-line transaction fees).

Thank you to everyone who helped out in any way, including Polly, DebH, Jackie, Kathleen, who (combined) mailed out over a thousand Buy Now items from this auction! Thanks to the fans all over the world who gave so generously of their time and money to make and donate items! Thanks to everyone who purchased Buy Now items, won auction items, or made monetary donations! All remaining items will be shipped within the next few weeks!

Way to go, everyone! You did it again, and your generosity will once again help children in need around the world!

Covered With Love Deliveries!

Janice and the "Covered with Love" Team have been busy making more beanies and deliveries to hospitals in the US! They recently made a delivery of 855 beanies and 73 blankets to the Buffalo, NY, Women's and Children's Hospital, and 387 beanies and 50 blankets to the Oakland, CA, Children's Hospital. Below is a photo of the group making the delivery to Oakland as well as an article about the delivery in a Buffalo NY newspaper. Thanks to everyone who participates in this terrific project to give these loving gifts to so many children across the country. South Central Gifted Scholars Drive!

From Alice (HiTekGal), GFC/JGF Project Leader for The South Central Gifted Scholar Fund:

Announcing!!! The fourth annual South Central Gifted Scholars Drive!!

The Josh Groban Foundation has given major support to the South Central Scholars SCS (formerly South Central Gifted Scholars Fund SCGSF) (www.scgsf.org). These gifted scholars come from south Los Angeles and have scholarships to attend colleges and universities throughout the US, including U.C. Berkeley, MIT, UCLA, and USC. The SCGSF provides not only the bridge funding to make college enrollment possible, but support services and mentoring, including internships. Last year, 87 new scholars were sent to college under this program.

We are going to do something different this year for the scholars. We plan to provide each of them with a package which will include a "smiley" face cloth embroidered by Mary Ellen, a variety of school/dorm supplies, a $100 gift card from the Josh Groban Foundation (so that the students can purchase the necessary dorm supplies at their convenience, either before they leave or when they arrive on campus), and a "best wishes" card from one of the Grobies.

Anyone can contribute to the project by purchasing items for the scholars when the Project Drive starts on July 7! You will just need to go to www.grobanitesforcharity.org to get to the project web site, and then "purchase" any of the available items (as "Buy Nows"), including memory sticks (thumb drives), pencil cups, pens, pencils and alarm clocks. GFC will then purchase the items in bulk and we will assemble the gift packages to hand out at the student picnic this summer.

The drive will run from July 7 through July 25! We hope everyone will participate! For more information on the project, write to Alice at aliceparker@cox.net. If you would like to help make cards for the students, write to Cruisin at 2008quixotic@gmail.com.

A huge thanks goes out to Kimberly, Margaret, Alf, Jan, Kate, Shauna, Maggie, and Gayle for all they did to make the M&G fundraiser a success. Thanks also to the Tender Totes team, the Josh Groban EuroMeets Group and all the fans who helped out, donated items or participated in the fundraiser!
