During his South African tour in 2005, Josh was invited to meet with Mr. Nelson Mandela. He was further honored when, during that meeting, Mr. Mandela asked him to become an Ambassador for the 46664 program. Josh enthusiastically accepted.

GFA began sponsoring this annual event in 2006. This is a very popular program with the Grobanites, as it allows everyone to participate at some level. The goal is to provide as many warm blankets for the children at the Siyawela Orphanage as is economically feasible. Many creative Grobies participate by making blankets, but others can also participate by sending monetary donations. These donations are used both to subsidize the shipping costs of sending the blankets to Siyawela and also to purchase more blankets in South Africa. Every year these blankets are enthusiastically received by the children. This was the very heartfelt thank you received from our NOAH contact after the 2008 drive:
Dear Grobanites for Charity,
Last week I went to the post office to pick up some boring old mail and to my surprise there were 17 boxes filled with the most exquisite blankets I have ever seen. I took them back to the office with a lump in my throat thinking of all of you who had taken the time out of your busy schedule to think of children in far away South Africa as winter approaches. The timing couldn't have been more perfect. I hope you enjoy the photos of the children at Siyawela Noah (Zamimpilo kids) as they received the blankets. Some of the blankets will stay at the Ark for nap time while others have been sent to their homes with something warm and cuddly. A gift from afar, a gesture of utmost kindness and love.
Thank you.
Joslyn

One year ago, thanks to an idea given to us by Audrey Catalfamo, the "Grobanites for 46664" team started our "Penny Power" fundraiser for Nelson Mandela's Project 46664, which works in the fight against HIV/AIDS in South Africa and for which Josh is an Official Ambassador. Our goal was to raise $4,666.40 before Josh's next concert tour begins. Today, I'm thrilled to announce that:
