Make a Donation in memory of Claire McKinney ("Mini") Claire McKinney, a beloved Grobanite who posted as "Minnerz" on Josh's message board, passed away in her sleep on Sunday, October 8, 2006, at the age of eighteen. Claire lived in Shenandoah, IA, and was a Freshman student attending NW Missouri State University. She loved singing, writing poetry and stories, Harry Potter, and Star Wars. Claire was able to give Josh a journal she made for him at his concert in Sioux City, SD. "I like watching sunsets and sunrises with people I care about... I like going away from everything that people consider normal. I don't want to be categorized by what I do, and I don't like to be ridiculed for the things that I enjoy. City. It was my first ever concert, and my friend Theresa and
I had made a deal that we were going to go up to the stage and
give him gifts....We were originally in the 14th row, after Chris
Botti performed, we had a nice couple tell us we could sit in
the FRONT row...so I saw Josh for the first time ever sitting
in seats 105 and 106, Main Floor Right, Front Row...It was SO
surreal, I still can't believe it happened today.... I had made
Josh a journal, and wrote a poem for him inside it, and he actually
read part of it out loud! I was on cloud nine.....It was an amazing
