Covered With Love

"Caring Hearts Creating For Kids"

We are a team of Grobanites who are putting our hearts and hands to work to create soft and warm beanies/hats for children being treated at Shriners Hospitals and the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. We would like each child coming into the hospital for treatment to receive a colorful beanie to begin their stay and then take it home when they are ready to leave. We hope that when they wear them they will feel the warmth and know that they are   'covered with love'

How you can help:

 Make beanies or blanketsBaby Blanket

   Donate yarn

Beanies

Helpful tips for your creations:

Please do not use yarn with wool or wool content. Some people are allergic to wool

Use soft yarns- baby yarn, soft knitting worsted or cotton, so they'll be comfortable.

Use patterns that are worked in the round and do not have seams.

If you wash them, do not use scented fabric softeners. Some are allergic to them.

A special thank you for the photo of the beanie collection goes to Bev (Virgo), my right arm on the CWL Team. Thank you, also, to Stacey for brightening up our page with her sketch of the child and the yarn. A big thank you to Lynn for all of her advice with this project and to Larry for putting all of this together. You are loved." ~Janice
