Welcome to our 2008 drive!

Our goal is to bring some comfort and cheer to at least 1500 deserving children by providing them with colorful totes, pillowcases, as well as warm beanies and cuddly blankets. Please help us to make their hospital stay a bit more friendly and put a smile on their faces.


This year we're helping Shriners Childrens Hospitals in Erie, Pennsylvania and Salt Lake City, Utah.

Tender Totes is a part of Grobanites for Charity. For more information, please see our links page.		 Our service project is mainly for Shriners Hospitals. They provide free care for children with severe medical needs. They have 22 hospitals, 3 of which are burn centers. When a child is admitted, they receive a small tote bag filled with toiletries and a stuffed animal. We provide them with a good supply of "Tender Totes." They also have a great need for pillow cases. Theirs don't last very long with all the many washings. These we call "Heavenly Dreams."

And our "Covered With Love" team knits and crochets beanies and blankets especially for cancer patients and preemies.

We need people to:
  • Find and donate cute, fun fabric for children
  • Sew the totes and pillow cases
  • Knit or crochet beanies and blankets
  • Donate colorful yarn
  • Donate new, purchased pillow cases
